Apple computers clearly has a hit with the iPod, they are everywhere these days. But can you guess where they are finding a niche now? Travel Guides. CNN has an article about how travel companies are starting to piggyback on the popularity of portable music players by offering audio travel guides to their customers. Going to New York? Travel with Virgin Atlantic and they will give you guides to restaurants, sites, shopping and off-the-beaten-path attractions. If you stay at the Hardrock Hotel in Chicago they will even lend you an iPod full of tunes! Personally, I like travel guides too much to give them up completely, but audio travel guides sure sound like a nice little bonus.
